Cactus Gallery specializes in artesanias Argentinas. Every art object is hand
picked by Sandra directly from the artisan. Our
artisans design one-of-a-kind bijouterie and jewelry
pieces using semi-precious stones, macrame, crystals, precious
metals, seeds, seed pods, bamboo, coconut, leather,
suede and other media. We pay our artisans fair
wages.
Our leather items are
made with Argentine leather that is hand treated,
hand-cut and hand sewn. For the box collectors out
there, we carry tiny treasure
chests have hinges, keyholes, stones and clasps.
Also, very popular are our mate gourds. Drinking MATE with friends from a shared hollow gourd (also called a mate) with a metal straw (a bombilla) is an extremely common social practice in many South American countries.
